This month is Pretty in #IpsyPink! I’ve been subscribed to several subscription boxes over the past couple of years. Ipsy is one I’ve been subscribed to for a few months and love. They send out a Glam Bag monthly.
Ipsy sends out 5 samples a month in a cute little makeup bag. That’s right, you get a makeup bag every month! Often they include a full-size product or two in the mix. This month the Glam Bag focused on pinks and peachy pinks. The cost is $10 a month including shipping. It’s shipped via DHL Global Mail. I’ll admit that tracking gets a little weird because DHL processes through a hub before handing off to USPS for delivery. One of my Glam Bags got lost in the mail and Ipsy was quick to send me a replacement.
You can review your products every month and share different things on Facebook and Twitter for reward points. You can then exchange reward points for products.
The bag this month is plastic and is a pixelated pattern. It’s not my favorite, but not the worst one I’ve received so far. Gamers and Geeks are sure to love it.
This wasn’t that good of a month for me, as I’m allergic to two of the products. But I would love to use the two products if I weren’t.
First the products I was allergic to.
Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion 0.25 oz – Value $7.25
This is supposed to be a chemical and physical exfoliator and pore perfector in one. Since I’m allergic to it I really can’t review it. It’s sealed so I can’t tell you anything about the consistency or smell. I’m passing it on to someone else.

My Amazing Hair Secrets My Amazing Leave In Secret – 1 oz – Value $3
This is supposed to penetrate the cuticle, repair damaged hair, and help with frizz control. I’m not able to use it due to allergy issues. It has a pleasant scent and doesn’t seem thick.

BelláPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush – Desert Rose 0.2 oz – Value – $27.84 – Full Size
THIS IS .05 oz LARGER THAN FULL SIZE? 0.2 oz is 5 grams and the full size on the BellaPierre site is 4 grams.
I love this color. I am a sucker for peachy pinks, and I was getting ready to go on the hunt for a new one. I generally go for mineral-based makeup because I tend to not react to it as much as other makeup. The pigment payoff is pretty nice too. You can see a swatch after the Bye Bye Undereye.
mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye® Anti-Aging Concealer 0.11 oz – Value – $9.42
I received this in neutral medium. It seems a bit dark for me, but I think it will work wonderfully when I’m not pale from being ill. I’ve only used it a few times but it seems to help with the bags for at least several hours. It creased a little. But I’m not used to a concealer that is as thick as this, so I put on a little too much.
caprylic/capric triglyceride, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, vp/hexadecene copolymer, cetyl alcohol, silica dimethyl silylate, ozokerite, tocopheryl acetate, collagen amino acids, retinyl palmitate, tocopherol, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, phytonadione, soluble collagen, propylparaben, methylparaben
This is a cute rose gold pink handled blending brush. It’s cruelty-free, vegan, and has an antibacterial coating. The bristles as soft and haven’t irritated my sensitive skin. I haven’t noticed any loose bristles falling out either. I’ve fallen in love with this brush, both the color – I love me some rose gold – and the feel of it.
I come up with a value of $59.51 for the Pretty in #IpsyPink Glambag. For $10 that is a great value, may not as much as last month, but still a great value. This doesn’t include the value of the makeup bag itself. I’ll use 3 of the 5 products. Not using the other two is simply because of allergies.
I will try to list ingredients on any makeup, skincare, and food reviews if I’m able to locate an ingredient listing. I have many allergies and I understand the pain of having to search and search for ingredients.
